Fig.10. Diffraction of light at an edge.
A. Photograph of Fresnel diffraction at a straight edge.
B. Graph indicating intensity versus distance along a line perpendicular to the edge.
C. Evidence for i-pretons is proposed to occur beyond diffracted illumination lines that are produced separately by a common point source. Edges are adjusted so that illumination lines are brought into juxtapositions but do not overlap. The production of photons in the non-overlap zone upon the simultaneous exposure to a common point source would be evidence of i-pretons. An i-preton is a segment of a pulson that by itself does not have sufficient energy to create a photon.
